Our Physiotherapists 
All of our physiotherapists have a specific interest in the area of sports physiotherapy. Three of our physiotherapists are currently recognised as APA Sports Physiotherapists and our other physiotherapists are currently working towards that goal.

In order to obtain the title as an APA Sports Physiotherapist, specific criteria must be met with respect to sports coverage, lecturing, post graduate studies as well as a written examination.


 

Bruce Anderson B.App.Sc. (Phty), Master H.Sc. (Sports Phty), APA Sports Physiotherapist
Bruce has a special interest in treating shoulders and lower limb injuries. He is/was physiotherapist for: Knox Grammar School Athletics and Rugby 1990-2002; Combined Associated Schools Rugby 1995-2002; NSW Schools Rugby Team 1999-2000; Australian Schools Rugby Team 2000; Gordon Rugby Club 2008.
 


 


David Bick B App Sc. (Phty), Post Grad. Dip. (Sports Phty), APA Sports Physiotherapist; Dip App.Sc. (Med Radiography)
 David has a special interest in tendinopathies and end stage return to sports programs. He has previously worked at a national level with gymnastics, volleyball, softball and track and field and travelled with all these sports both domestically and internationally.

He has more recently worked full-time in rugby with the Waratahs and the Wallabies until 2007.


 


David Garrick B.App.Sc.(Phty)
David graduated from The University of Sydney in 1999. He has a special interest in knee, ankle and lower limb sporting injuries. He has experience working in Sydney, UK, Canada (Banff) and Japan (Niseko). David is currently physiotherapist for Northern Tigers Soccer Club in the NSW State League and Barker Old Boys Soccer Club.

He has previously worked with Drummoyne Rugby Club, Sydney Grammar School Rugby and North Shore AFL Club. He has a sporting interest in soccer and skiing. He is studying a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy and is due to finish in2008. 


 


Nichole Hamilton B.App.Sc.(Phty)
She graduated 1997, worked under Francine St George and recently Barbara Hungerford. Her expertise is in treating lumbar, pelvic and hip pain using Muscle Energy Technique. She also incorporates movement re-education and control, Yoga, and Pilates into her treatments.

Nichole worked as an assistant tutor in Sydney and the U.K. on muscle energy techniques to physiotherapists. She has lectured on hip injuries and their relationship to the pelvis and is a qualified Pilates instructor.
 


 


 Shreya Ranganathan B.App.Sc.Phyty (Hons), M.H.Sc. (Manip & Sports Phyty), APA Sports & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Shreya graduauted from The University of Sydney in 2001. Shreya is a titled Sports Physiotherapist with extensive experience in teating lumbar, pelvic and thoracic pain and postural conditions with manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation. She has a strong sporting interest; particularly in tennis, cricket and triathlon.

Shreya has recently travelled with elite tennis players and the Women's Tennis Association. She is currently working with North Shore AFL, Northside Running Group and NSW Gymnastics. Shreya regularly organises and tutors courses run by Sports Physiotherapy Australia.

She has also worked in private practices in Sydney, UK and Canada. She has studied clinical pilates in Australia and in Canada and is extremely qualified to provide individualised and group pilates programmes for clients.


 


Nino La Scala B.Physio.
Nino graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne in 1995. He has worked in rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Centres in Melbourne and Sydney. He has also worked with various sporting teams which include Melbourne Storm Rugby League, Australian Joeys Football and various other local football teams.Nino's special areas of interest include shoulder and lower limb injuries. He is a keen track and field runner and enjoys snowboarding.


 

Mary Butler B.Sc. (Hons.), Phty; B.Sc. (Hons.); B. Stud. (Currently on matenity leave)
Mary graduated in U.K. in 1996. Her post-graduate studies have included clinical Pilates, spinal techniques and acupuncture. She has special interests in low back pain and headaches. She has worked in teaching hospitals, sports clinics and for The Ministry of Defence
