Dr Andrew Wines
Andrew Wines performs arthroscopic, minimally invasive, trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle in adults and children. He has performed over 300 ankle replacements, the most of any surgeon in Australia.
Dr Wines graduated from the University of Sydney in 1994. After obtaining his fellowship in orthopaedic surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2002. he travelled to Dublin, Bristol and Oxford for subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery.
He holds leadership positions on the boards of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, Knox Grammar School, the Medical Benevolent Association of NSW and ACT, St John Ambulance NSW and the International Orthopaedic Diversity Alliance, He is a Churchill Fellow and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has published numerous book chapters and peer reviewed journal articles and is frequently invited to present at local and international conferences.
He is married to an anaesthetist and has two children.
