North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre has a world-wide reputation for excellence in surgical specialist training. Fellowships are keenly sought.
Ongoing education of medical students and young post-graduate surgeons both from Australia and overseas has always been a high priority of NSOSMC, and since its inception, more than 80 young surgeons from over 30 different countries have gained valuable experience under the expert guidance of the centre’s surgeons.
There is a strong collaboration with the University of Notre Dame medical school, to allow medical trainees access to clinics and theatres for teaching at a clinical level. A/Prof Leo Pinczewski is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer and Dr Greggory Burrow is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer for the School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame.
